You have 3 options for measuring your belt when it’s time to replace it.

CUTTING & MEASURING

If you’re no longer using your machine, the easiest way to measure your belt is by cutting it off and laying it out flat. Measure down one side of the belt and side to side, be as accurate as you can and supply your measurement in millimetres.

MARKING AND MEASURING

If you’d still like to use your machine while the new belt is being made you can measure the belt while its still attached. Use a felt tip pen and make a mark on the edge of the belt, manually move the belt around measuring a metre at a time until you return to the beginning. Measure from left to right as well.

USING STRING

You can use string to measure your belt by attaching it with sticky tape and manually moving the belt around, once the ends meet up you can cut the other end and measure with your measuring tape.
